Modern Robotics: Mechanics, Planning, and Control
A mathematical robotics sequence covering robot motion, kinematics, dynamics, planning, and control, supported by programming exercises.
Explore robotics courses for motion, mathematical models, and robot systems, with guidance on linear algebra, calculus, programming, and hardware expectations.

Robotics combines geometry, motion, computation, and physical constraints. Technical curricula often assume linear algebra and calculus even when the examples are visually intuitive. Check preparation before beginning a multi-course sequence.
Distinguish mathematical robotics from hardware assembly tutorials. Look at programming tools, exercises, and the expected pace of derivations. Revisit prerequisite mathematics when a formula becomes a symbol pattern you cannot explain.
Work through a small motion example and interpret the coordinate frames and units. Compare the calculated result with a diagram or simulation before moving to a larger system.
