Microsoft — Microsoft
Explore Microsoft’s introductory Azure course on cloud concepts, architectural components, compute, databases, storage and networking services.
Opens on the provider’s site. Check current access and certificate terms there.
Microsoft starts with the reasons organizations use cloud services, then explains the architectural components behind an Azure environment. Compute, databases, analytics, storage and networking follow in a structured sequence. The emphasis is recognizing what each service does and how its responsibilities differ, making this a useful starting point before a more specialized administration or application-development course.
Beginner by the provider’s label. General familiarity with networking, storage, computing and applications is expected. The roughly ten-hour workload includes activities and assessments, rather than video time alone.
A completion certificate is separate from Microsoft certification. Exam registration, requirements and fees should be checked on the current official AZ-900 page. Azure demonstrations can incur charges; review the resources and pricing before creating them, practice with fictional data and remove unused resources afterwards. Portal names and interfaces change, so compare older demonstrations with current Microsoft documentation. A foundations course develops service-selection knowledge rather than proving that a learner can operate a production cloud environment independently.
Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.
Sketch an Azure arrangement for a fictional small business website. Identify its compute, storage and networking needs, then explain which decisions you can make from the scenario and which require more information.
