Lucas Ridley guides an Unreal Engine obstacle-course project from player setup to a shareable build. Four modules cover a custom playable character, movement states, cinematic transitions, timers and dangerous areas. Lessons are accompanied by assignments and a project review, keeping the focus on one small playable result.
The course explicitly expects intermediate Unreal Engine navigation skills, a suitable computer and a three-button mouse. We classify it Intermediate on that basis; the page does not display a formal level label.
Coursera estimates five hours including activities and review. Confirm compatibility between your Unreal version and the demonstrated workflow before importing assets. Packaging successfully is only the beginning of testing: check controls, failure states and restart behavior on another machine, and confirm that any character or environmental assets may be redistributed.
Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.
Build an original short obstacle sequence with a timer and restart state. Ask someone unfamiliar with the level to try it, then revise one confusing obstacle or instruction.
