Jordy Vandeput introduces landscape photography through creative decisions rather than expensive equipment. Three modules move from the genre’s basics to composition and storytelling. Examples and activities help learners connect a point of interest with framing, leading lines and the relationships within an image.
This Beginner course can be followed with a smartphone, analogue camera or SLR. It is a useful entry point for learners who want to improve ordinary travel or local landscape photographs without buying a new system.
The four-hour workload includes activities and assessment. Gear is not the main constraint, but light, access and patient observation matter. Treat composition principles as choices to test rather than rigid rules, and use safe, permitted locations for your own photographs.
Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.
Photograph one local scene with three different framings. Compare what attracts attention in each image and select the version that most clearly communicates the subject you intended.
