Course overview

This foundation course develops the C# knowledge used in a .NET full-stack pathway. Three modules move from setting up .NET and the command-line tools to language fundamentals and more advanced programming features. Objects, interfaces, delegates, LINQ and asynchronous patterns form the core; it is primarily preparation for application development rather than a complete frontend-to-database bootcamp.

What you will learn

  • Set up .NET tools and write C# programs
  • Use object-oriented structures and LINQ
  • Explore exceptions, delegates and asynchronous programming

Who this suits

The provider lists a Beginner level and says no previous .NET or C# experience is required. Basic computer skills are expected. Developers changing ecosystems can also use it to establish the language foundation before studying ASP.NET applications.

Before you enroll

The published workload is roughly 17 hours, including exercises and assessments. The syllabus includes older asynchronous models as well as task-based patterns; distinguish background knowledge from the approach appropriate to a current project. Board Infinity identifies this as independent training, not official Microsoft material. A course certificate records completion and does not establish Microsoft certification, production readiness or completion of the broader full-stack pathway.

Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.

Put it into practice

Build a small console application that filters and summarizes a collection using LINQ. Separate responsibilities into classes, handle invalid input, and explain where asynchronous work would be appropriate before adding a web interface.
