About Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

Retrieval-augmented generation supplies a language model with material retrieved for a question. It can make a document collection usable through an application, but errors can arise during parsing, retrieval, or answer generation. Study those stages separately.

Choose a useful starting point

A focused RAG bootcamp offers more retrieval depth than a general AI introduction. Look for chunking, metadata, hybrid search, and ways to inspect retrieved evidence. Python and API fluency help, and paid model or vector-store usage may sit outside the course fee.

Build on the lessons

Prepare a small document set and questions with known answers, including questions the documents cannot answer. Inspect retrieval before judging generated prose. Compare changes in chunking or search against the same evaluation set and retain source references.
