Course overview

Coursera combines Playwright’s browser automation with Robot Framework’s keyword-based organization. Foundations lead into framework integration and more advanced execution patterns. It suits Python learners who want to understand how a readable keyword layer maps to browser actions and assertions, while keeping the technical responsibilities clear enough to investigate a failure without treating the keyword as a black box.

What you will learn

  • Use Playwright locators, waits and assertions.
  • Connect browser tests with Robot Framework keywords.
  • Explore page objects and selective CI execution.

Who this suits

Intermediate learners with Python and basic web-development knowledge. This is a short taught course with three lesson modules and assessments; allow further practice before designing a larger framework independently.

Before you enroll

Use a local application or a site that explicitly permits test automation, with fictional accounts and records. Keep authentication state and credentials out of shared repositories and reports. Match examples with the current Playwright and language versions; hosted CI or visual-testing services may cost extra. Stable automation depends on meaningful assertions, controlled data and useful failure evidence as well as a passing run.

Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.

Put it into practice

Create a keyword for a fictional local search flow. Keep the browser action separate from the outcome assertion and explain how a failed step could be traced from the keyword to the underlying page interaction.
