Berklee — Bora Uslusoy
Develop a song from pre-production through recording, editing and mixing with Berklee’s Bora Uslusoy, using a home-studio workflow.
Opens on the provider’s site. Check current access and certificate terms there.
Bora Uslusoy takes a song idea through the stages of home production. Four modules address pre-production, arranging and recording, editing, and final mixing. Audio and MIDI work connect the musical plan with practical decisions about balance, panning, equalization, dynamics and time-based effects, rather than treating mixing as a way to repair every earlier problem.
The page lists Intermediate. Learners should be ready to work in a DAW and develop a musical idea; the techniques are presented as applicable across software, rather than as a complete introduction to one application.
Published module estimates total about twelve hours, while the page gives a broader one-week study suggestion. Those estimates include readings, projects and assessment. Access to suitable recording and editing tools is separate from course enrollment. Avoid interpreting a completed assignment as a finished commercial release. Check rights to any samples and keep editable project files so you can revisit arrangement or recording decisions after feedback.
Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.
Produce a short original piece in stages. Save a pre-production sketch, an edited session and a mix, then explain one decision at each stage and how an earlier choice affected the work required later.
This overview is based on the provider's published information, checked on . It is an editorial assessment, not a claim that we completed the resource. Time filters are approximate study ranges; projects and exercises can take longer.
