Google connects a manager’s responsibility for results with clear team goals and effective work allocation. SMART objectives lead into communication, resources and progress check-ins, with AI tools used to help draft or refine material. This course suits new managers who want to connect a team’s purpose with realistic responsibilities and review an AI-generated suggestion before using it.
Beginner by the provider’s label. The roughly three-hour workload includes activities and assessment. This is a team-management course; check current access terms for any AI tools used in exercises.
A useful goal-setting method should make the next action and review process clearer. Account for time, resources, competing responsibilities and circumstances outside your control. Course marketing about guaranteed success or effortless results should not be treated as evidence of an individual outcome. Keep personal reflections private and use fictional examples for shared exercises. Team goals need agreement about priorities and capacity, as well as a measurement method. A completion certificate records training; it does not establish that a goal or business result has been achieved.
Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.
Create goals for a fictional three-person team with limited capacity. Explain the allocation of work, identify a resource each person needs and prepare a check-in agenda that tests progress without assuming every delay is an individual failure.
