Create an original game concept, prototype and first playable build in Michigan State’s assessed Unity game-development capstone course.

The Michigan State capstone asks learners to develop an original game rather than reproduce another guided starter project. Milestones cover the idea, an early prototype, a progress report and a first playable build. Peer presentation and testing provide a structure for explaining decisions and responding to evidence from an unfinished game.
This intermediate capstone follows the four earlier courses. It suits learners with enough Unity experience to make independent implementation and design decisions.
An original game can expand rapidly. Prefer one polished interaction over a long feature list, and check the current assessment and peer-review requirements before enrolling.
Coursera lists paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for included assessments, certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. University authorship does not by itself confer admission, academic credit or a professional license.
Define one player experience you want to create, build the smallest playable version and collect observations from testers. Explain which change follows most directly from their behavior.
