About PMP

PMP preparation connects project-management knowledge with judgment in different delivery situations. Predictive, adaptive and hybrid approaches all require attention to people, decisions and business value. Begin by checking PMI's current eligibility criteria and exam outline, then choose training around your existing experience and the parts of the subject you need to explain more confidently.

Compare complete preparation with focused revision

For full preparation, compare the independent Udemy instructors with PMI's official on-demand course, Brain Sensei's structured self-paced route and Master of Project Academy's scheduled live class. The listings identify differences in runtime, teaching format and completion terms. Maryland's business-acumen course, Pearson's procurement and stakeholder course, and Microsoft's formulas course are focused supplements. They should fill a clear study gap rather than be mistaken for complete exam coverage.

Check the current exam and course material

PMI introduced the revised exam in July 2026. Compare a course's actual lessons with the current Exam Content Outline; a new title or update date does not establish that every recorded reference has changed. David McLachlan's page, for example, names the 2026 exam while retaining some PMBOK seventh-edition learning bullets. Ask the provider about a specific gap before relying on a resource for full preparation.

Separate education hours, PDUs and certification

PMP application training, renewal PDUs and video runtime are different measures. Review the activities and completion evidence required by your chosen provider, then confirm PMI's current rules. Live-training eligibility changes from 1 December 2026, so check the official provider requirements before booking a later class. Course completion does not establish the rest of your examination eligibility or award the PMP credential.

Explain a decision in context

Analyze an unfamiliar project scenario before looking at a proposed answer. Identify the delivery approach, the people affected, the decision authority and the intended value. Explain the next useful action and what information might change it. Keep a short record of recurring mistakes, revisit the relevant teaching and test your reasoning on a changed scenario instead of memorizing one response.
