Course overview

Three modules extend an ordinary edit with transitions, text automation, templates and custom animation. Jordy Vandeput connects these tools to a more developed sequence. This continuation teaches material beyond the first course’s project setup and basic cuts, with activities that encourage learners to adapt the techniques.

What you will learn

  • Customize transitions and animated graphics
  • Use templates and text workflows
  • Apply masking in a sequence

Who this suits

Although listed Beginner, the course expects Part 1 or equivalent knowledge of Premiere’s interface and editing workflow. It is most useful once learners can assemble and revise a basic sequence without constant navigation help.

Before you enroll

Allow approximately five study hours. Premiere access and additional templates are separate. Panel names and template controls can change across releases, so compare demonstrations with your version. Prioritize readable text and purposeful transitions over decorative motion, particularly when the intended audience watches on a small screen.

Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.

Put it into practice

Add one custom transition and a short animated title to an original edit. Test the sequence on a small display, then simplify any movement that distracts from the message.
