FreeMIT Classical Mechanics
A free MIT mechanics course with lectures and problem-solving material on motion, forces, momentum, energy, and rotation.
Rice University — Jason Hafner
Rice connects electric potential and capacitors with direct-current circuits, following its introduction to electric charge and fields.

The second Rice electricity course moves from fields toward potential, capacitors and circuits. Its quantitative problems connect energy-related descriptions with the behavior of simple electrical networks. It is most useful as a continuation of earlier field study, where voltage and current can be interpreted rather than treated as interchangeable labels.
Coursera lists intermediate level and recommends the preceding material as well as algebra and trigonometry. Review charge, field and energy ideas first.
Circuit calculations use idealized components and assumptions. The course is theoretical study; an equation alone is not sufficient preparation for working on mains-powered equipment.
Coursera lists paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for included assessments, certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. University authorship does not by itself confer admission, academic credit or a professional license.
Analyze a low-voltage circuit on paper or in a simulator. Predict how adding a resistor changes current and explain the result through both voltage and energy.
