Intermediate Backend Development with FastAPI

Packt extends FastAPI into user registration, login, database relationships and migration work. Shipment and delivery-partner examples provide a domain for connecting records, while email and background tasks introduce behavior outside a simple request response. Who this suits

Before you enroll

Work in a local development environment with fictional records and keep API keys outside source control. Match the demonstrated Python, Pydantic and database-library versions with your project before copying code. Hosting, databases and AI services may cost extra. A completed course project still needs tests, access controls and an operational review before real users or sensitive information depend on it.

Put it into practice

Create a fictional shipment-status endpoint. Define which user may change a status, test an invalid transition and explain how a schema migration would be reviewed before existing records use the new field.
