Packt presents Anand Rao Nednur’s Azure AI-901 teaching through a progression from AI history and infrastructure to generative models and agents. Language, speech, vision and information extraction extend the sequence. This course suits learners who want to connect the conceptual foundations with practical Azure workload choices and can explain why a capability is appropriate for a specific task.
Intermediate by the provider’s label, although the description says cloud and AI experience are beneficial rather than required. The published six-hour estimate includes course activities. Preview the labs if Azure is unfamiliar.
Microsoft retired AI-900 on June 30, 2026. Older AI-900 teaching can support conceptual study, but it should not be treated as current exam preparation. Check the official AI-901 objectives, including Python and Azure resource familiarity, before choosing a certification path. Course certificates are separate from Microsoft certification and exam fees. Azure exercises can incur charges; check service access, pricing and permissions, use fictional data and remove practice resources afterwards. Interfaces and service names can differ from older demonstrations.
Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.
Plan a fictional application that combines information extraction with a generated response. Label each service’s role, describe an evaluation example and identify where a person should review the output before using it.
