Course overview

Tim Wilson moves beyond standard keyframes into timing and procedural control across five modules. Graph editing, time effects, property expressions and audio integration support a complete video project. The course is the final part of its pathway, with material distinct from the preceding masking and tracking instruction.

What you will learn

  • Refine motion with graph and time controls
  • Use simple expressions to control properties
  • Connect animation with audio amplitude

Who this suits

The Intermediate course recommends existing comfort with animation and effects. Learners should understand layers and keyframes before relying on expressions to automate changes in a composition.

Before you enroll

The seven-hour estimate includes activities and final work. Software access is separate. Test an expression after changing its inputs or composition structure, since a working example may depend on specific layer names. Audio-reactive motion should still be reviewed for readability and excessive flashing before public use.

Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.

Put it into practice

Build a short original audio-reactive sequence. Change the source audio and one control value, verify the expressions still work, then refine the timing so the graphic remains understandable.
