Azure Identity and Networking Essentials

Microsoft links Azure identity with resource and virtual-network configuration. Entra ID troubleshooting leads into network security, performance and a practical configuration module. The course helps learners compare identity-related access with network-related access, two concerns that can produce similar symptoms while requiring different investigations.

What you will learn

• Explain the role of Microsoft Entra ID in Azure.
• Relate resource configuration to virtual networks.
• Compare identity troubleshooting with network configuration.

Who this suits

Beginners interested in technology; Microsoft does not require previous IT experience.

Before you enroll

Use an isolated lab or a network you are permitted to administer. Check the required software, cloud resources and exercise access before enrolling, and document changes so the practice environment can be restored.

Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.

Put it into practice

Diagram a fictional Azure application’s identity and network paths. Explain which check would reveal an authentication problem and which would reveal blocked connectivity.
