Course overview

Bill Rosenthal moves beyond basic artwork into complex paths, painting tools and refined appearance. Eight modules include color, typography, effects, output preparation and project requirements. This continuation has different material from Part 1 and is designed for learners who can already produce simple Illustrator graphics.

What you will learn

  • Create more complex vector illustrations
  • Customize colors, type and appearance
  • Prepare artwork against project requirements

Who this suits

We classify it Intermediate from the stated expectation of basic artwork experience; no formal level label is shown. The provider explicitly calls for Illustrator installed on a Windows PC and gives further setup details in its first module.

Before you enroll

Allow about ten study hours. Check software-version differences and the Windows-specific setup before paying. Commercial-print examples should be checked with an actual printer’s specifications. Exam-preparation language does not turn the course completion certificate into Adobe certification or include the certification examination.

Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.

Put it into practice

Develop a complex original graphic with controlled swatches and editable type. Prepare a delivery version against a fictional print brief and list any specifications you would still need from the printer.
