Adobe introduces vector artwork and helps learners choose between the web and desktop experience. Three modules cover the application, workspace and essential tools through videos, readings and activities. This is a taught introductory course, with a more structured path than browsing individual help articles.
The Beginner course is appropriate for a first encounter with Illustrator. Basic computer skills help, while drawing ability or previous vector-design experience is not the main entry requirement.
The four-hour estimate includes reading and assessment. Illustrator access is separate from the Coursera enrollment, and web and desktop features differ. Check which platform a demonstration uses before assuming that a command is missing. Follow the lessons with a small original document.
Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.
Create a simple original icon, organize its parts and inspect it at several sizes. Explain which elements remain editable and why the vector representation suits the intended output.
