About AWS Developer Associate

AWS developer study concerns the lifecycle of an application: how it uses cloud services, obtains permission, reaches deployment and reveals a failure. Programming, command-line work and basic networking make those connections easier to understand. Begin with a small feature you can already explain locally, then investigate the additional decisions introduced by a cloud environment.

Choose an examination route or a specific developer skill

Stephane Maarek, Neal Davis, Jon Bonso and in28Minutes offer substantial preparation sequences with different teaching pace and revision arrangements. The collection also includes focused AWS courses on .NET tools, Python serverless development, software-delivery practices, databases, infrastructure code, activity records and operational architecture. These narrower options support a practical gap and should not be mistaken for complete exam preparation.

Plan around the current exam transition

AWS states that DVA-C03 registration opens on 27 October 2026 and the final DVA-C02 examination date is 30 November 2026. The reviewed full preparation pages currently name DVA-C02. Choose around your planned examination date, read the applicable outline and ask a provider about updated material instead of assuming an older course covers the new version.

Distinguish taught practice, assessment and certification

A preparation course can include a practice assessment, but its completion document is separate from AWS certification. Focused developer lessons cover part of the work rather than the whole examination. Review programming prerequisites, account requirements and lab charges, and use current service documentation when a recorded console or deployment example differs.

Trace an application from request to deployment

Implement a small disposable application with one clear request path. Explain its service interactions, permissions, deployment process and failure signals. Change an input or configuration, inspect the resulting evidence and document the correction. Recreate the working environment from your notes and remove it after testing so the exercise has a clear and repeatable end.
