Design Systems in Webflow

Six lessons introduce design-system concepts through reusable building blocks and Webflow components. The course connects consistency with the practical work of making a site easier to extend. Learners get an overview of the decisions worth standardizing before testing those decisions in their own small set of pages.

Who this suits

The official course is labelled Beginner. It is most useful after learners have built a few page elements and can recognize repeated patterns that would benefit from shared rules.

Before you enroll

The listed lesson time is twenty minutes; developing a useful system requires substantially more practice. This is a concise taught course, with six lessons, rather than a complete design-system implementation program. Software and hosting access are separate. Test variations and exceptions before deciding that one component should serve every context.

The official course videos are free to access. A Webflow account is used to track progress and practice. Site plans, hosting and some platform features can cost extra. Course study is separate from Webflow’s certification exams.

Put it into practice

Create an original button, card and heading pattern with documented variations. Use them on two practice pages and identify an exception the system needs to support.
