Pew’s course covers spreadsheet fundamentals before moving into analysis and automation. Formulas, PivotTables, VBA, and Power Pivot provide several routes beyond basic data entry. The breadth makes it useful as a learning path, provided you practice each stage instead of jumping straight to advanced features.
Beginners can start with the core spreadsheet lessons. A compatible installed Excel version is recommended. Existing users can select a module that addresses a concrete reporting problem while reviewing any missing foundations.
Mac, web, and Windows editions differ, particularly for advanced data tools and automation. Check the course’s supported features against your setup. Treat unfamiliar macros as code to inspect, and keep a copy of a workbook before changing its automation.
Enrollment is paid through Udemy. A completion certificate follows Udemy's course terms; it does not confer a professional qualification. Check current pricing and access before enrolling.
Build a small sales workbook with a summary formula and PivotTable, then reconcile both against the same sample rows. Add one validation rule that catches a likely data-entry mistake and document its purpose.
