This course begins with Docker's local development model and builds toward more involved deployment questions. Images, containers, persistent data, and networking appear before Kubernetes. That order helps distinguish the problem a container solves from the additional coordination problems that an orchestrator introduces.
A useful choice once you can run a small application locally and want to make its environment reproducible. Command-line comfort and basic networking concepts help. You do not need to be a systems administrator, but an application you understand gives the infrastructure examples context.
Kubernetes is not an automatic next step for every project. Learn the local container workflow first and identify the operational problem before adding orchestration. Cloud deployment examples can create billable resources, so inspect the instructions and clean up practice infrastructure when finished.
Paid Udemy enrollment with a completion certificate. Container tooling and any hosted infrastructure have separate licensing and pricing terms.
Restart a container without losing its data, then demonstrate what changes when the persistent volume is deliberately removed.
