Microsoft — Microsoft
Explore Microsoft’s web-security course on injection, XSS, CSRF, input validation and Copilot-assisted review, with a capstone application exercise.
Opens on the provider’s site. Check current access and certificate terms there.
Microsoft connects common web vulnerabilities with secure coding and input validation. Copilot-assisted review appears alongside a capstone that applies the concepts to an application. It suits learners who already have the front-end foundations needed to understand how browser behavior, application code and server responses combine to create a security problem.
Learners who have completed the preceding Microsoft Front-End Developer Professional Certificate courses, the preparation specified by the provider despite the beginner level label.
Practice in a course lab or an application you are authorized to test, using fictional accounts and sample data. Security tools and framework defaults change, so compare examples with current documentation. A passing exercise or AI-generated suggestion does not establish that an application is secure; explain the threat, the control and how you verified its behavior.
Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.
Use a practice application to trace one untrusted input through rendering or storage. Implement a suitable control and document both an expected request and a case that should be rejected.
