Course overview

Packt gives complex browser interactions a dedicated Selenium sequence, including select boxes, datepickers, tables, frames and alerts. TestNG and later automation concepts connect these interactions with a test suite. It suits learners who already use WebDriver and want to explain which browser or frame context an action needs, rather than repair a failure by adding an arbitrary delay.

What you will learn

  • Automate complex elements, tables and datepickers.
  • Handle frames, alerts, popups and mouse actions.
  • Connect advanced WebDriver behavior with TestNG work.

Who this suits

Intermediate learners with basic Selenium WebDriver knowledge. The provider addresses test automation engineers and developers; this course is a follow-on to browser and programming foundations.

Before you enroll

Practice against a local application or an explicitly permitted testing environment with fictional records. Keep account credentials out of scripts and shared reports. Match browser, driver, language and framework versions with the demonstrated setup; cloud testing services can cost extra. Useful automation needs controlled state, meaningful assertions and failure evidence. A green run alone does not establish complete coverage of an application.

Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.

Put it into practice

Automate a fictional local page with a frame and confirmation alert. Record the required context changes, verify the final visible result and explain how a failure report would identify the step that lost context.
