Nutrition for Optimal Mental Health examines the relationship between food and mental wellbeing. NASM’s description includes dietary patterns and nutrients, with examples such as Mediterranean and MIND diets. The course is useful for understanding how evidence is discussed in this field, while keeping associations and proposed mechanisms separate from demonstrated treatment effects.
The beginner course requires no previous nutrition knowledge. Choose it for an introduction to the research questions rather than a qualification in mental-health care.
Nutrition education is not a replacement for mental-health assessment or treatment. Examine the evidence behind a claim and avoid treating a dietary approach as a guaranteed remedy.
