PaidStanford Introduction to Food and Health
A beginner introduction to food choices, eating patterns, and practical home cooking within a general discussion of health.
National Academy of Sports Medicine — NASM Faculty
NASM covers dietary patterns, digestion, metabolism and weight-management education for fitness professionals, with scope-of-practice guidance.

This NASM course links nutrition knowledge with the work of a fitness professional. Modules cover nutrients and supplements, digestion and metabolism, dietary patterns and eating behaviors, and weight management, followed by assessment. Its emphasis on client communication and professional scope makes it more relevant to coaching than a short consumer food-literacy course.
Although labeled beginner, the course recommends the first three PFT specialization courses. Review that foundation before starting this longer course.
Permitted professional activities depend on training and local rules. Completion does not itself confer a dietetics license or authority to diagnose and treat a medical condition.
Coursera lists paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for included assessments, certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. University authorship does not by itself confer admission, academic credit or a professional license.
Write a fictional client-education plan that includes general food-literacy questions, behavior goals and clear referral points. Identify which requests would fall outside your qualifications.
