This Colorado course approaches cybersecurity through decisions faced by ordinary businesses. It develops confidentiality, integrity and availability, then examines risk and daily security practices before an attack-surface project. The business perspective makes it an alternative to courses centered on a particular analyst tool or technical certification exam.
The beginner label suits business learners who need a practical vocabulary. You do not need to start with a specialist penetration-testing background.
A general introduction cannot establish that a real business is secure. Use authorized examples and distinguish an educational risk exercise from a professional assessment.
Coursera lists paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for included assessments, certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. University authorship does not by itself confer admission, academic credit or a professional license.
Draw a simple business workflow involving email, a website and customer records. Mark where information crosses a boundary and explain one proportionate control for each boundary.
