Zaman treats concept portraiture as collaboration with the subject. The four modules develop an idea, prepare the shoot, explore lighting and connect post-production with storytelling. This emphasis differs from applying a predetermined style to every person: the subject’s interests and representation help shape the visual direction.

Before you enroll

The course lists six hours of workload. A smartphone or DSLR, a subject, relevant props and editing software are needed; Capture One and Photoshop are demonstrated, but alternatives are allowed. Agree on how images may be used and shared. Completion does not automatically establish professional portfolio quality.

Put it into practice
