Before you enroll

Use career examples as prompts for decisions, rather than guarantees of employment or promotion. Hiring requirements, local practices and professional platforms change. Adapt application materials to a real role and support claims with evidence from your experience. Keep private details out of shared exercises and leave time for feedback and revision.

Coursera offers paid enrollment or subscription access. Check the enrollment screen for assessment and certificate terms, trials and any financial-aid options. Provider access terms can change; review them before paying.

Put it into practice

Compare two possible career paths using evidence about tasks, requirements and your interests, then identify one low-cost way to investigate each.
